Side window switches
Side window switches |
The window lifts are operated from five switches located in the switch panel on the centre console. The switches are connected to the STC control module, which activates the corresponding window lift relay to operate the electric motor for that window lift.
Each window lift has its own switch and there is also a switch for operating all the window lifts simultaneously.
The switch panel and the STC control module are connected as illustrated in the following diagram:
• |
From switch ALL WINDOWS DOWN pin 15 to the STC control module pin 7
|
• |
From switch ALL WINDOWS UP pin 17 to the STC control module pin 35
|
• |
From switch FL WINDOW DOWN pin 18 to the STC control module pin 36

From switch FL WINDOW UP pin 19 to the STC control module pin 21

From switch FR WINDOW DOWN pin 6 to the STC control module pin 22
|

From switch FR WINDOW UP pin 7 to the STC control module pin 8
|

The switch panel and all the switches is voltage fed with B+ from the control module pin 40. When a switch is pressed in, the corresponding control module input is fed with B+ and information on the current button position is used by the STC control module to activate the corresponding window lift motor via a relay.
When the soft top is being raised, the control module lowers the windows approx. 15 centimetres to prevent the soft top from jamming on any of the windows.
It is only possible to operate the window lifts DOWN with any of the five switches while the soft top is being raised.
The switches for the window lifts and the switch for simultaneous window operation have the following function:
• |
A short press on the switch will lower the window/windows completely.
|
• |
A continuous press on the switch will lower the window/windows for as long as the switch is pressed down.
|
The control module can be adjusted so that the windows automatically go UP or DOWN when the soft top lowering sequence is finished. See under menu “Adjustment”
The ROOF switch is then kept in its rear position. The factory setting is DOWN.
When the soft top has been raised, all windows will close if the ROOF switch has been activated to its front position after the first bow has been locked to the window frame.
