Hinges, tailgate


Adjustment

Note

In order to adjust the hinges for the tailgate, the headlining must first be loosened to expose the hinges.



1. Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the door seal at the roof.

3. Loosen the rear edge of the headlining by removing the two clips (turn them 90° and pull them out).

4. Fold down the trim so that the bolts in the tailgate hinge mountings become visible.


5. Undo the bolts and adjust the tailgate.

6. After adjustment: Tighten the bolts.


7. Touch up the paint by the hinges if necessary.

8. Fold the trim back in place and fit the retainer clips for the headlining.

9. Fit the door seal, use a rubber mallet if necessary.


10. Fold the door seal outside the headlining.

11. Close the tailgate.
