Conditions
The following conditions apply for the DTC in question:

P0116
When coolant temperature has not exceeded 70°C 3 minutes after the oil temperature exceeds 80°C for a duration of 5 sec.
Fault criteria not fulfilled for P0117, P0118, P0197 or P0198.

P0196
When oil temperature has not exceeded 50°C 3 minutes after the coolant temperature exceeds 80°C for a duration of 5 sec.
Fault criteria not fulfilled for P0117, P0118, P0197 or P0198.

The control module uses 0°C as a substitute value. Diagnosis for P0196 is stopped.
P0196
The control module uses 100°C as a substitute value. Diagnosis for P0116 is stopped.
