Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit. Short to Ground.

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit. Short to B+ / Open circuit.

The following conditions apply for the DTC in question:

P0117
Signal on control module sensor input less than 0.2 V for more than 0.6 seconds.

P0118
Signal on control module sensor input more than 4.9 V for more than 0.6 seconds.

Diagnostic help
The control module uses 0°C as a substitute value. Diagnosis for P0116 and P0196 is stopped.
