Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit. Short to Ground.
P0198
Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit. Short to B+ / Open Circuit.

The following conditions apply for the DTC in question:

Signal on control module sensor input less than 0.4V for more than 0.6 seconds.

Signal on control module sensor input is more than 4.96V for more than 0.6 seconds.

Diagnostic help
The control module uses 100°C as a substitute value. Diagnosis for P0116 and P0196 stopped.
