• CHECK ENGINE lamp on.


Conditions

The following conditions apply for this DTC:


• When the engine speed has been higher than 6200 rpm for more than 0.1 seconds.

The diagnosis is active when the engine has been running for more than one minute.


Diagnostic help

If diagnostic trouble code P0343 has been set, the engine has been forced to overrev. If only one of the diagnostic trouble codes is set, this means that the tachometer is defective.

Fuel cut-off takes place at 5000 rpm.

The engine has been forced to overrev. This may have taken place at full throttle acceleration 1-2-3-2 or changing gear 4-1. The engine may suffer mechanical damage if overrevved.
