P0243 Boost Pressure Too High. Mechanical Fault.
P0244 Boost Pressure Too Low. Mechanical Fault.
Fault symptoms
Conditions
The following conditions apply for the DTC in question:

Diagnosis is active at 2000 rpm and more than 22.5 mg fuel.

P0243
If boost pressure is 25 kPa higher than desired value for a duration of 7.5 seconds, a DTC will be generated.
|

P0244
If boost pressure is 25 kPa lower than the desired value for a duration of 7.5 seconds, a DTC will be generated.

Diagnostic help
Diagnostic trouble codes indicate a mechanical fault in the turbo unit or an air leak between the turbo unit and intake manifold or in the vacuum system. Faults may also have occurred in the control valve (boost pressure or swirl throttle)
Air leakage between the turbo unit and intake can cause damage to the turbo unit due to over-revving.
