The diagnostic trouble code is generated when an unauthorised attempt has been made to disengage the immobiliser or when there is a fault in the memory unit.

Diagnostic help
The control module locks up for a certain time once an incorrect code has been entered. This time is extended every time an incorrect attempt is made.
