The terminal voltage of the battery is 12V, and it has a capacity of 60 Ah or alternatively 85 Ah.
The battery is located on the left-hand side of the engine bay. Its negative terminal is connected to the body and the gearbox. On certain markets, the battery of petrol-engined cars has a battery box that is cooled by an air hose to reduce the heating effect of the engine.
Cars with petrol engines have a 60 Ah battery and diesel engines an 85 Ah.
So-called redundancy grounding is provided between the gearbox and the left-hand wheel arch.
The battery is equipped with a drainage hose. It runs from the battery's venting nipple and along the wiring harness on the left-hand side to discharge at the side of the left-hand fog light.
