Front wheel hub

To remove



1. Remove the MacPherson strut, see Front damper (MacPherson strut) .

2. Place two pieces of flat or square bar under the MacPherson strut.

3. Press off the front wheel hub from the wheel bearing. Use special tool 89 96 704 Drift, front wheel bearing .

4. Remove the circlips from the MacPherson strut.

5. Remove the wheel bearing from the steering swivel member. Use special tool 89 96 704 Drift, front wheel bearing .


To fit



1. Fit the outer circlip on the steering swivel member. The opening in the circlip should face downwards.

2. Press in the wheel bearing until it abuts with the circlip. Use special tool 89 96 704 Drift, front wheel bearing . Lubricate the bearing seat and outer circumference of the bearing with Molykote G Rapid Plus grease.

3. Fit the inner circlip on the steering swivel member. The opening in the circlip should face downwards.

4. Fit the hub into the wheel bearing. Use special tool 89 96 704 Drift, front wheel bearing .

5. Fit the MacPherson strut, see Front damper (MacPherson strut) .
