Parking heater





The parking heater applies B+ on the ACC-unit pin 3 when the parking heater is being started. When the ignition is turned off, the following selections will be made:


• The air-mixing dampers are automatically adjusted according to selected temperature.

• The air-mixing damper in the defroster position for 15 minutes, then in defrost/floor position.

• Recirculation flap in recirculation position for temperatures below -10°C, otherwise fresh-air position.

• Fan current 6 A.

• Manual selections can be made using all buttons except OFF, ECON or electrically heated rear window. If AUTO is pressed, the full display is shown.


The control module returns to normal operation as soon as B+ disappears from pin 3 or when the ignition is turned ON.

Adjusting

Using the diagnostics tool, the ACC unit can be adjusted to:


• Air-mixing damper continually in the max heat position or automatic heat control.

• Select another fan current.

• Select for how long the air distribution damper remains in the defrost position before defrost/floor is selected.
