Raise (close) the soft top to a position with the soft top cover raised and the fifth bow lowered (horizontal).

Fold forward the rear backrest.
|

| 3. |
Remove the cover over the hydraulic unit.
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the hydraulic unit retaining bolts.
|
|
| 5. |
Lift up the hydraulic unit. Check the oil level in the oil reservoir.
|

Lay out paper under the hydraulic unit to catch any oil spills.
|
|
| 7. |
Unplug the connectors.
|
|
| 8. |
Mark the hoses and remove the retaining bolts by the hose connections.
|
|
| 9. |
Remove the cable tie securing the hoses.
Lift out the hydraulic unit. |

Check the hoses' marking, connect them to the pump and tighten the screws. For more information on hose placement, see

Press on the cable ties.
|
|
| 3. |
Plug in the connectors.
|
|
| 4. |
Fill oil in the reservoir.
Use oil part No. (16) 30 32 356.

Run the soft top up and down 5 times and check the function. Check to make sure that there are no oil leaks.
|

| 6. |
Check the oil level and top up if needed.
|
|
| 7. |
Remove the protective paper.
|
|
| 8. |
Lower the hydraulic unit into the torsion box and fit the bolts.

Fit the cover and restore the backrest to upright position.
|
|
| 10. |
Run the soft top to closed position and lock it to the windscreen frame.
|
|
| 11. |
Connect the diagnostics tool, erase any diagnostic trouble codes.
|
|
