Symptom: The soft top cannot be operated or it stops in mid-operation. Slow movement. Noise during operation. May not be possible to operate window lifts.

Condition
The control module has discovered a malfunction during the self-check.Diagnostic procedure
This trouble code may be set if the emergency control valve is not closed.- |
Check that the emergency control valve is closed.

This DTC may be generated if the control module power supply is defective.

Check that the control module power supply as well as ground
|
If the control module ground connection is missing, the control module will be grounded via a ground current which is powerful enough to keep the control module active.

The windows may move slightly when trying to operate the window lifts.

When trying to operate the soft top, the pump motor may try to start.

Checking wiring harness
Intermittent faults can exist during temporary short circuits and open circuits. Wiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to discover problems in the wiring harness and connectors. Observe the multimeter, diagnostic tool or the test lamp during checking.
