Bumper, front, Aero/Viggen

Removing


1. Raise the car.

2. Remove both spoiler shields and unplug the fog light connector.


3. Loosen the wing liners from the rear of the bumper.

4. Lower the car.

5. Open the bonnet.

6. Remove the grille.


7. Remove the right and left headlamp and combination lamp.

8. Remove the wiper motors and put them aside. Detach the washer hose secured to the bumper.


9. Remove the two bolts securing the bumper to the body.

10. Remove the temperature sensor mounted in the centre of the bumper.

11. Remove the bumper by lifting and pulling the bumper forwards so that it goes clear of the attachments in the wing and front.


Fitting



1. Refit the temperature sensor and fit the bumper in place.

Important

Make sure that the brackets at the corners of the bumper are properly secured to the body brackets.


Tighten the 2 retaining bolts.

Tightening torque: 39 Nm (29 lbf ft).

2. Fit the wiper motors and secure the washer hose to the bumper by means of the clips.

3. Fit the right and left headlamps and the combination lamp.


4. Refit the grille.

5. Fold down the headlamp wiper arms.

6. Raise the car.

7. Carefully fold in the wing liners inside the bumper edge and fasten the wings.

8. Plug in the connectors for the fog lights.


9. Refit the spoiler shields.

10. Lower the car.

11. Close the bonnet and check the bumper fit.

12. Check the headlamp alignment and adjust if necessary.
