Removing



1. Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the door sealing moulding at the lower edge.

3. Remove the lashing eyes.


4. Fold down the luggage compartment mat.

5. Remove the scuff plate by pulling it straight up, it is fastened with clips.

6. Undo the nuts securing the bumper.

7. Remove the clips.


8. Remove the extended plastic wing liner by undoing the screws that hold it in place.

9. Bend out the front edges of the bumper against the wheel housings.

10. Remove the bumper by pulling it rearwards so that it clears the attachments.

Important

Work carefully when removing to avoid damaging the paintwork.



Fitting



1. Position the bumper on the car and screw on the nuts.

Important

Make sure that the brackets at the corners of the bumper are properly secured to the body brackets.


2. Bend the bumper in round the wheel housing.

3. Adjust the fit and tighten the retaining nuts.

Tightening torque: 39 Nm (29 lbf ft).

4. Screw the extended plastic wing liners in place and fit the clips.

5. Fit the scuff plate by pressing it into place and securing it with the clips and then fit the lashing eyes.


6. Fold back the mat in the luggage compartment.

7. Refit the tailgate weatherstrip moulding.


8. Close the tailgate and check the bumper fit.
