50 48 566 Thermo contact kit.
| Procedure |
To remove
| 1. |
Remove the A/C compressor, see WIS 9-3 - M98- - 8. Body - Heating and ventilation, A/C - Adjustment/Replacement - Compressor (petrol).

Remove the bolt securing the tab for the thermo contact.
|
|
| 3. |
Unplug the A/C compressor ground cable.
|
|
| 4. |
Open the clamp in order to release the cables.
|
|
| 5. |
Unplug the connector for the electromagnetic clutch.
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the thermo contact with pliers. Rotate the thermo contact while pulling it upwards from the A/C compressor.

| 7. |
Remove any remaining silicone adhesive and clean the A/C compressor where the thermo contact had been located. Use a screwdriver or the like.

| To fit |
| 1. |
Remove the transport protection from the new thermo contact. Apply a thin layer of 50 48 889 Silicone adhesive to the underside of the thermo contact.

| 2. |
Fit the thermo contact.
|
|
| 3. |
Fit the tab which secures the thermo contact.
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 lbf ft) |

Fit the ground cable and tab to the A/C compressor.
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 lbf ft) |

Close the clamp around the cables as shown in the illustration.

| 6. |
Attach the connector to the electromagnetic clutch.
|
|
| 7. |
Fit the A/C compressor, see WIS 9-3 - M98- - 8. Body - Heating and ventilation, A/C - Adjustment/Replacement - Compressor (petrol).
