       | 1. | Identify the plastic. See  or

       | 2. | Select the appropriate welding wire and set the correct working temperature on the welding pistol so that it corresponds with the type of plastic. See

       | 3. | Heat the end of the mounting lug and tack it on. Use the tacking tip.

       | 4. | The mounting lug is now provisionally attached.

       | 5. | Adjust the end of the welding rod so that it is thinner. 
 
   
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 6. | Weld on the mounting lug with the welding rod. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 7. | Allow the weld to cool. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 8. | Sand down the welded joints as necessary. 
 
   
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 9. | Remove shallow scratches by shock-heating the damaged area with the welding pistol, approx. 25°C above the welding temperature.
