Safety Regulations

Never heat plastic more than to the specified temperature. Besides the joint becoming brittle and easily cracking, toxic gases may be emitted at high temperatures. Make sure the welder is adjusted correctly before commencing work.

Warning

Certain models contain plastic details made of polyurethane. These are marked PUR. Polyurethane cannot be welded and must never under any circumstances be heated as it emits toxic gases. These gases can cause injury to respiratory passages. If possible, always check the markings on components.

Bear in mind that the flow of air from the welder is extremely hot and can easily ignite flammable materials. Make sure the work area is cleared of rubbish and other materials that can catch fire. Never point the welder at another person.
