The fastening eyes for child seats must be changed if they become out of shape after a collision or if they have been damaged in any other way.

Grind away the welds securing the outer fastening eyes.
Drill through the spot welds and remove the old attachments.

Apply a coat of primer to all the bare metal surfaces. Use Standox 1K Füllprimer. Apply a thin coat of anti-corrosion agent and allow it to penetrate under the attachments after painting.

Put in place the new fastening eyes.

Seam weld on the fastening eyes as illustrated, dimensions are in mm.
