Switch unit
Switch unit |
The switch unit is located on the outside of the driver's seat. It consists of a number of switches supplied with B+ from the control module. When a switch closes, the B+ supply is returned to the respective switch input on the control module. The voltage then changes from 0V to B+.
When a valid switch setting or memory button is detected, the control module performs the corresponding function, i.e. controls the motors for manual adjustment and memory setting, or stores the seat settings in memory.
Manual adjustment of the seat setting |
On manual adjustment of the seat setting, the control module detects which switch is activated and then supplies power to the corresponding motor.
Diagnostics |
If the switch function is not correct, the switch position must be read using the diagnostic tool. No diagnostic trouble code is generated.
