Sunroof drive cable

Sunroof drive cable

To remove



1. Remove the sunroof unit.

2. Remove the motor.

3. Remove the glass hatch.

4. Remove the rain gutter.

5. Remove the locking ring and fold out the spring.

6. Remove the retaining bolt from the cover at the rear, one cover strip on each side.


7. Move the holder for the rain gutter rearwards-downwards and remove them from the rail, one on each side.

Note

Holder with anti-vibration spring.


8. Press down the catch at the rear of the slide mechanism and pull it rearwards.

9. Pull out the drive cable to the rear.

10. Remove the wire from the slide mechanism with a small screwdriver (snap-on fastener).


To fit



1. Fit the drive cable to the slide mechanism.

2. Insert the slide mechanism with cable until it snaps into position.

3. Mount the holders for the rain gutter.

4. Mount the anti-vibration spring and lock ring.

5. Fasten the rear edge of the covers with some adhesive.

6. Fit the rain gutter.

7. Adjust the cables on both sides. Make sure that the rivet is halfway between the two marks in the link.


8. Refit the motor.

9. Refit the glass hatch.

10. Refit the sunroof unit.
