Sunroof

Sunroof

The sunroof consists of a sunroof frame unit with a glass hatch fixed on two lifting units. The hatch is cable-driven by an electric motor. The electric motor and the operating relay are located at the front of the sunroof unit.

The sunroof is operated with a switch on the console between the front seats.

The glass hatch can be slid back and forth as well as be tilted up at the rear. Each time the hatch passes the closed position, the circuit is opened by the relay and the hatch stops. Release the switch and press again to change opening direction.

The sunroof unit is drained via four hoses, one in each corner of the sunroof unit.

Voltage +54

+54 voltage is supplied via fuse 7 to pin 10 on the electric motor.

Grounding

The electric motor is grounded through pin 3 in grounding point G14.

Description of operation

The sunroof is operated with a two-way switch 181 and can be opened in two ways:

The sunroof can be completely or partly opened by sliding it rearwards.

The rear of the sunroof can be tilted up.

Switch 181 for operating the sunroof is supplied with power via fuse 7 when the ignition is in the driving position.

The sunroof is opened by pressing down the rear part of sunroof switch 181 in switch panel 386. Power is supplied via pin 4 and on to the sunroof motor 182. The motor is grounded by the switch unit pin 3.

The sunroof is closed by pressing the front part of the sunroof switch 181 in switch panel 386. Power is output via pin 3 and on to the sunroof motor 182. The motor is grounded through the switch unit pin 4.

The sunroof must be completely closed before it can be opened at the rear.

When switch 181 is activated for closing if the sunroof already is closed, the sunroof will be opened at the rear.

To close the sunroof at the rear, activate switch 181 for opening, that is, the same position as for complete sunroof opening. The sunroof will close at the rear.
