start the fault diagnostic procedure.
Symptom: Cars with 1-speed radiator fan:
Radiator fan operates continuously (even with ignition OFF).
Battery is discharged.
Radiator fan not working, can lead to engine overheating.
Cars with 2-speed radiator fan:
Radiator fan operates at low speed continuously (even with ignition OFF).
Battery is discharged.
Radiator fan operates only at high speed, which may lead to increased engine temperature.
Low speed radiator fan relay. Short to B+
Low speed radiator fan relay. Open circuit / short to ground
Fault symptoms
Cars with 1-speed radiator fan:

Conditions
Control module output is monitored and if there is a short to ground/B+ or open circuit for the relay, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
