Disconnect the vent hose from the battery.
Disconnect the positive and negative battery cables and remove the battery. Note the radio code where applicable. |

Unplug the radiator fan electric connections.

Remove the throttle body's cover.
|
4. |
Remove the charge air pipe and bypass pipe with valve, collect the O-ring from the connection to the turbocharger's intake pipe.

Remove the heat shield over the exhaust manifold.
|
6. |
Loosen the power steering system's fluid reservoir and move it aside.
|
7. |
Remove the bracket from the battery tray and bend it aside.
|
8. |
Remove the power steering pump's oil pipe and the clips for the radiator's venting hose from the radiator member and bend the oil pipe aside.

9. |
Remove the radiator fan cowling, 2 bolts.
Tilt the radiator fan cowling forwards, twist up and lift out. |
10. |
Undo the nuts securing the radiator fan to the fan cowling, remove the resistor and unplug the connectors from the fan cowling.

Lift out the fan.

To fit |

Lift the fan into place.
|
2. |
Fit the nuts securing the fan to the fan cowling.
|
3. |
Connect the resistor and connectors to the fan cowling. Anchor the cable to the fan cowling with a cable tie.
|
4. |
Lift the radiator fan cowling into place and screw on the 2 nuts.
|
5. |
Mount the bracket on the battery tray.
|
6. |
Fit the power steering system's fluid reservoir.
|
7. |
Fit the power steering pump's oil pipe and the clips for the radiator's venting hose.
|
8. |
Plug in the radiator fan's connectors.
|
9. |
Fit the heat shield over the exhaust manifold.
|
10. |
Fit the charge air pipe.
|
11. |
Fit the bypass pipe with valve. Use a new O-ring for the connection to the turbocharger's intake pipe.

12. |
Fit the throttle body's cover.
|
13. |
Fit the battery and its drain hose.
Set the car clock and radio code where applicable. |
