Diagnostic help
The overheating function limits the amount of fuel until the correct temperature has been attained.
It is normal for the overheating function to engage during very extreme driving conditions such as when the outside temperature is higher than 30°C (86°F) and when driving with a caravan up long and steep inclines, for example in mountainous areas. Check that the cooling system is fully functional and that air flow through the engine bay is not obstructed. If the cooling system is fully functional, clear all DTCs and inform the customer regarding the overheating function.
