|
To minimize any remaining fuel pressure, remove the fuel pump fuse no. 32 while the engine is idling. Turn off the ignition once the engine has stopped. |

Fit fuse no. 32. |

Remove the top engine cover.
|
|
| 2. |
Remove the charge air pipe by:
|
|
| • |
unplugging the connector from the pressure/temperature sensor
|
| • |
undoing the screw securing the bypass pipe to the turbo unit inlet pipe.
|
| • |
undoing the hose clips on the throttle body and charge air hose
|
| • |
undoing the screw securing the charge air pipe to the cylinder head attachment.
|

Man:
Undo the venturi hose from the charge air pipe.
|
| 3. |
Detach the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
|
|
| 4. |
Undo the screw and open the clamp.
|
|
| 5. |
Work loose the fuel pressure regulator.
|
|
| To fit |
| 1. |
Lubricate the fuel pressure regulator O-ring with acid-free vaseline, part no. 30 06 665.

| 2. |
Fit the regulator to the fuel rail and tighten the clamp.
|
|
| 3. |
Fit the regulator vacuum hose.
|
|
| 4. |
Fit the charge air pipe with connector and hose.
Man: Connect the venturi hose to the charge air pipe. |
|
| 5. |
Start the engine and check for leaks.
|
|
| 6. |
Fit the top engine cover.
|
