Reversing lights

Reversing lights

The reversing lights go one when reverse gear is engaged. For certain markets, side reversing lights are included in the front direction indicator lights.

DICE detects the status (ON/OFF) of the reversing light switch and outputs the information to the bus.

For certain markets there is a function that activates a side reversing light when reverse gear is engaged. The lamp is located in the front direction indicator light on both sides. Its location in these lamp-houses means that the light is directed towards the rear.

+54 voltage is fed to the reversing-light switch (31) from fuse 31.

When reverse gear is engaged on a manual gearbox, the reversing-light switch (31) closes and current is fed to the reversing lights.

When reverse gear is engaged on an automatic transmission, the reversing light switch (31) in the gear selector (239) closes and current is fed to the reversing lights via the reversing light relay (405).

The same voltage used to feed the reversing lights (32 HL and 32 HR) is also connected to DICE pin 45. The information is used for the rear window wiper function.

When the reversing light switch (31) is on and the reversing light relay is closed, voltage +54 is supplied to the side reversing lights (119FL and 119FR) via fuse 31.
