Shifting N-D
When changing the selector lever position from N to D, the transmission will temporarily shift to 3rd gear so that shifting is performed as smoothly as possible.
This gear-shifting compensation is carried out on condition that:
1.
Brake light switch is activated. Brake lights, ON (bus from TWICE).
2.
Accelerator pedal not depressed.
3.
The shifting program selected is NORMAL or SPORT.
To reduce transmission wear and to obtain smoother shifting when R or D is engaged when the accelerator pedal position is greater than 3 %, TCM requests a lower “maximum permitted torque” at the moment of shifting over the bus. Trionic uses this information in the mass air flow control circuit for torque limitation.
