                     Read the safety and handling instructions for the Airbag (SRS) before starting work.

       | 1. | Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove the key. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 2. | Remove the airbag-module, two plugs and two screws. 
 
   
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 3. | Lift out the module and detach the cable connections. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 4. | Clean the surface of grease and dirt, use
        
         30 15 815 Cleaning agent
        
        . 
 
 
         Fit the sealing strip level with the inner edge as per illustration. Press the strip down well.
           
 
          
           
            | Note |  
            | 
              It is important that the strip finishes up totally tight with the steering wheel cover so that air cannot leak out.

       | 5. | Connect the cables to the airbag module. 
 
   
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 6. | Fit the module, the two screws. Make sure that the strip does not protrude over the edge. Fit the plugs into the screw holes. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 7. | Start the engine and check that the airbag warning lamp does not indicate a fault. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       |  | • | Carry out troubleshooting if the lamp indicates a fault in the airbag system. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 8. | Check the signal function.
