Stepping motor air-mixing, damper jammed. Note: May be generated if not calibrated
Fault symptom
Experienced temperature in cabin is too high or low when compared to set temperature.
Conditions
The following conditions apply:
•
When the stepping motor is run by the control module towards an end position and if the stepping motor continues more than 20% past the expected end position, the diagnostic trouble code for loose damper is generated.
•
When the stepping motor works in the range 10-90 % of the damper operating range (which is 0-100 %), the control module senses if the power consumption exceeds a certain value, and generates the diagnostic trouble code for jammed damper.
•
The diagnostic trouble codes may be generated if the control module has not been calibrated.
•
Continuous monitoring and during calibration.
