Pre-delivery service

The materials required for pre-delivery service are packed in the car glove box and luggage compartment.


1. Remove the paint protection plastic from

- front bumper

- rear bumper

- door mirrors

- sills

- boot lid

- left MacPherson strut tower in engine bay

2. Inspect the underbody for signs of transport damage.

3. Remove the transport protection from the suspension.

4. Remove the transport protection from the brake discs and the label from the windscreen.

5. Check the tyre pressure .

6. Steel rims: Fit hub caps.

7. Check level of fluids and top up as required .

- Washer fluid

- Engine oil

- Coolant

- Brake fluid

- Power steering fluid

8. Battery condition test .

9. Fit the battery cover .

10. Remove the protection from the following places in the cabin .

- Seats

- Rear seat

- Gear lever/selector

- Steering wheel

- Floor

- Door trim on driver's side

- Front sills

- Lower dashboard

- ICM unit display

11. Put in place the extra carpet (not US/CA).

12. Remove the VIN label from the side window in the rear door.

13. Remove the separately packed parts from the glove box.

- Fit the cover over the lock cylinder on the front left door.

- Fit fuse 37 in main fuse box 342 in the engine bay .

- Theft alarm label, to fit (not US/CA).

- EU: Place the Certificate of Conformity in the owner's manual folder.

14. Set the clock and program SID.

15. Check the function of the wash/wipe system .

16. Clear fault codes in all systems.

17. Mount number plates.

18. Test-drive the car.

19. Make sure no fault codes have been detected in any of the systems.

20. Remove the towing eye, close the cover and place the towing eye in the tool compartment.

21. Clean the car.
