Solenoid valve unit, EGR (606)

/ 9-3 (9440) / 2003 / 2. Engine / 4-cylinder diesel / Engine management system PSG16 / Adjustment/replacement / Solenoid valve unit, EGR (606)

To remove

1.	Remove the upper engine cover.

2.	Open and close the expansion tank cover to release excess pressure.

3.	Unplug the EGR valve and disconnect the vacuum hose from the cut-off damper.

4.	Remove the EGR valve.

5.	Fit 30 07 739 Hose pinch-off pliers to the EGR valve coolant hose.

6.	Detach the coolant hoses from the EGR valve.

To fit

1.	Fit the coolant hoses to the EGR valve and remove the hose clamp pliers.

2.	Clean the sealing surfaces and fit a new O-ring.

3.	Fit the EGR valve. Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 lbf ft).

4.	Plug in the EGR valve and connect the vacuum hose to the cut-off damper.

5.	Replace the upper engine cover.
