Raise the car.

Cut the front exhaust pipe 87 mm from the end of the silencer, between the silencer and the flexible section. Cut at right angles using a
83 95 667 Pipe cutter, exhaust system

Remove the front and rear silencers.
|

| To fit |

Clean the joint.
|
|
| 2. |
Fit a sleeve clamp joint and fit the front silencer with new rubber mountings.

Adjust the sleeve clamp so that the pipe ends are in the centre of the clamp.

Fit the sleeve clamp and fit the rear silencer and the new rubber mountings.

Adjust the sleeve clamp so that the pipe ends are in the centre of the clamp.

| 6. |
Adjust the front and rear silencers so that they hang in a neutral position. If the tale pipe is visible, adjust the exhaust so that the tail pipe is in the centre of the recess in the rear bumper.

Tighten the sleeve clamps.
Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 lbf ft) |

Lower the car.
|

| 9. |
Connect an extraction hose and start the engine. Check that the exhaust system does not leak.
