The intake system comprises intake manifold, air cleaner, rubber elbow, mass air flow sensor and connecting hose.
The amount of air the engine consumes passes through the intake system where a filter removes dust particles from the air.
Cut-off damper
The throttle valve is either fully open of fully closed. The throttle is always fully open when the ignition is on. When the ignition is turned off, the throttle will close completely to prevent air reaching the cylinders. This ensures the engine will not continue running once the ignition has been turned off.
