Belt tensioner with idler pulley

/ 9-3 (9440) / 2003 / 2. Engine / 4-cylinder petrol / Basic engine / Adjustment/replacement / Belt tensioner with idler pulley

To remove

1.	Raise the car, turn out the wheel and undo the front part of the right-hand wing liner.

2.	Relieve the belt tensioner using 83 96 095 Belt circuit relieving tool B207 and remove the belt. Mark the direction of rotation of the belt.

3.	Remove the belt tensioner.

4.	Remove the idler pulley.

To fit

1.	Fit the idler pulley to the belt tensioner. Tightening torque 25 Nm (18 lbf ft).

2.	Fit the belt tensioner. Tightening torque 50 Nm (37 lbf ft).

3.	Relieve the belt tensioner with 83 96 095 Belt circuit relieving tool B207 and fit the belt in the marked direction of rotation.

4.	Fit the front part of the wing liner and lower the car.
