Perform
Preparations prior to removing a control module.

Remove the
Front door trim
.
|
3. |
Lay the side of the door on a clean and soft surface.
|
4. |
When changing the driver door module:
Remove the cell block from under the door module.
|
5. |
When changing the driver door module:
Remove door trim screw.
|
6. |
Remove the door module using a screwdriver. First undo the rear clip.
Then undo the clips on the outer and inner sides of the door module. Pull the module carefully back/down. |

Cars with pinch protection : If the door control module is replaced with M04- then the window lift must also be from M04-. |

To distinguish the window lift from M03 and M04-, check the colour of the pulley behind the window lift motor. |

M03 = White |

M04 = Light brown/beige |
||
Check the above in order to avoid the pinch protection incorrectly deploying. |
||
The pinch protection can be deactivated using Tech 2 (version 127.000 or later) under the menu, Fault diagnosis - Model year 2003 - Saab 9-3 Sport (9440) - All - Service - Activate/Deactivate pinch protection. |

This deactivation means that the "Express up" function is deactivated. |

Fit the door module pressing it obliquely upward so that the clip engages.

When changing the driver door module:
Fit the door trim screw.
|
3. |
When changing the driver door module:
Affix the cell block with double-sided tape. The use of 16-30 20 807 is recommended.

Make sure the door trim clips are in place and intact. Replace the clips if necessary.
