The BCM uses the following information

Bus message	Unit	Transmitter	Description
Seat-belt switch, driver	On/Off	ACM	Detects if the belt is fastened or unfastened
Belt switch, passenger	On/Off	ACM	Detects if the belt is fastened or unfastened

The BCM sends the following information

Bus message	Unit	Transmitter	Description
Seat-belt warning lamp, passenger	On/Off	ICM	The BCM sends an SID warning message via the ICM
Seat-belt warning lamp	On/Off	MIU	The BCM sends an MIU warning message via the ICM
