On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Continuous

Enable criteria:

Engine running.

Car speed over 7 km/h

Fault criteria:

Incorrect information from TCS/ESP.

System reaction to a fault:

Steering column lock deactivated.

Checking the wiring harness

Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:

•	Diagnostic trouble code can be generated if one wheel has a rotation speed which is much higher than the others, such as when the handbrake is applied on ice. Carry out SPS programming if the software is older than: 12800185

•	Electrical fault in connecting leads or component.
