On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
| Vehicle speed over 24 km/h |
Fault criteria:
| Control module input short circuit. |
System reaction to a fault:
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
Diagnostic help
Diagnosis regards:
| • | Fault in connector H42-2 / H42-3 is often a cause of this DTC. |
| • | A DTC can be generated if the brake pedal is depressed while the car is accelerating. |
| Electrical fault in connecting leads or component. |
