Coolant temperature has exceeded 118°C for more than 10 seconds. |
System reaction to a fault:
Fuel limited until temperature is within limit value. |
OK report:
Fault criteria NOT fulfilled. |
Diagnostic help
It is normal that the overheating protection engages under very extreme driving conditions, such as outdoor temperature higher than 30°C (86°F) and driving with caravan up long and steep inclines, e.g. mountain driving.
If the cooling system is in order, delete the DTC and inform the customer of how the overheating protection works.
