On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
Battery voltage must be between 11 - 16 V. |
Fault criteria:
When input voltage is higher than 2.5 V for more than 1 s. |
(Value is 100 L in case of a fault) |
Dependent:
System reaction to a fault:
The control module uses a substitute value of 40 litres when fault is detected. |
OK report:
Fault criteria NOT fulfilled for 2 s with engine running. |
Fault handling:
Type III without Check Engine. |

Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
Diagnostic help
Diagnosis regards:
Electrical fault in connecting leads or component. |
Fault in connector H42-2 is often a cause of this DTC. |
