Clutch Switch Input Circuit Malfunction

Fault symptom
Cruise control not working.
On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
| Battery voltage must be between 11 - 16 V. | 
Fault criteria:
| No status change for the clutch switch when vehicle speed has increased from 3 - 50 km/h (2 - 31 mph). | 
| A DTC is generated if this occurs 4 consecutive times. | 
Dependent:
System reaction to a fault:
| Cruise control switched off. | 
OK report:
| Status change for the clutch switch has occurred. | 
Fault handling:
| Type III without Check Engine. |

Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
