| To remove | 
| 1. | 
        Remove the expansion tank cap to assist draining the coolant.

| 2. | 
        Raise the car and remove the front spoiler shield.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 3. | 
        Place a receptacle under the radiator and drain the coolant.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 4. | 
        Lower the car.
         | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Remove the upper engine cover.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 6. | 
        Remove the turbo deliver hose from the charge air pipe.
         | 
      |
| 7. | 
        Remove the upper coolant hose from the thermostat housing and radiator.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 8. | 
        Disconnect the coolant hoses from the thermostat housing.
         | 
      |
| 9. | 
        Remove the thermostat housing lid and thermostat.
         | 
      |
| To fit | 
| 1. | 
        Fit the thermostat housing lid and thermostat. Use a new seal.
         Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)  
        
         | 
      |
| 2. | 
        Connect the hoses to the thermostat housing.
         | 
      |
| 3. | 
        Connect the upper coolant hose to the thermostat housing and radiator.
         | 
      |
| 4. | 
        Connect the turbo deliver hose to the charge air pipe.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Replace the upper engine cover.
         | 
      |
| 6. | 
        Raise the car.
         | 
      |
| 7. | 
        Close the radiator drain plug and fit the front spoiler shield.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 8. | 
        Lower the car.
         | 
      |
| 9. | 
        Fill with
        
         40 - 400 131 389 Coolant
        
        . Check for leaks in the system. Fill the cooling system to about 20 mm above the mark on the expansion tank.
