Coolant temperature
Coolant temperature |
The coolant temperature gauge provides the driver with information regarding the temperature of the engine coolant.
The coolant temperature gauge is supplied with power and is controlled by the main instrument unit.
The engine control module continuously sends information on the bus regarding the coolant temperature.
The cooling temperature gauge scale is divided by 5 fixed points. The main instrument is programmed to guide the gauge needle to the fixed points at specified temperatures in order to give stable indication at normal coolant temperatures.
The following fixed points are programmed in the main instrument (factory settings):
Gauge needle: | Coolant temperature |
start of movement | 50 °C (fixed value) |
- in "horizontal" position | 80 °C |
- out of "horizontal" position | 113 °C |
- in "red" field | 125°C ("HOT ENGINE" displayed on SID) |
- out of "red" field | 129°C (fixed value) |
