Use the method described below to speed up bleeding the fuel system if air has entered the system, such as after changing the filter or when a fuel delivery line has been disconnected.
| 1. | 
        Remove the protective cap and connect
        
         88 19 096 Bleeding equipment
        
        and
        
         30 31 069 Nipple, bleeding equipment
        
        to the service outlet on the delivery line to the fuel pump.

| 2. | 
        Draw up fuel until a constant flow of fuel can be seen in the suction line.
         | 
      |
| 3. | 
        Remove the bleeder nipple from the service outlet while the equipment is running (this avoids fuel spills and air from entering the system).
         |

| 4. | 
        Put the protective cap onto the service outlet.
         | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Start the engine and check the system for leaks and suchlike.
         |
