Place the car on a lift.

Raise the car.

3. |
Remove the torque arm.

Fitting of right-hand torque arm |

Fit the torque arm. Thread the bolts. Tighten the bolt in the oil sump first.
Tightening torque 37 Nm (27 lbf ft) |
2. |
Tighten the bolt securing the torque arm to the subframe.
Tightening torque 70 Nm + 90° (52 lbf ft + 90°) |
Removal of left-hand torque arm |

Set the car on a lifting platform. Raise the car.

2. |
Remove the nuts from the front exhaust pipe on the catalytic converter. Take the strain off the front section with
83 95 212 Strap
.

Remove the torque arm.

Fit the torque arm. Thread the bolts. Tighten the bolt in the gearbox bracket first.
Tightening torque 70 Nm + 90° (52 lbf ft + 90°) |
2. |
Tighten the bolt securing the torque arm to the subframe.
Tightening torque 70 Nm + 90° (52 lbf ft + 90°) |
3. |
Fit the nuts to the front exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter with a new gasket. Lower the car.
Tightening torque 25 Nm (18 lbf ft). |
