Base solid paint with clear enamel
All solid colours have now been replaced with base solids and clear enamel. There is a great risk of confusing these different systems when repainting.Cars with base solid paint are marked with BASE SOLID on the colour code and tyre pressure labels. The label is located on the inside of the glove box.
Ordinary single layer solid paint with clear enamel is not quality approved by Saab Automobile AB.
Spray and enamel applicators can be used as usual for smaller repairs.
Metallic paints are not affected.
