Engine stops.
Engine Speed Sensor Plausibility Fault with Pump Camshaft Sensor.

On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
NONE of the following DTCs must be detected: |
Enable criteria:
Engine speed higher than 800 rpm |
Fault criteria:
Signals from both sensors differ more than 800 rpm from each other. |
Dependent:
System reaction to a fault:
The control module uses pump rpm x2 as a substitute value. |
Checking the wiring harness
• | Faults in the control module female connector can be the cause of the DTC. Check the connector with respect to oxidation, depressed pins and pin clamping force. |
• | Jiggle the wiring harness at several points to detect intermittent breaks or short circuits. Check also the connector for oxidation or loose pins. |
