On-board diagnosis
Enable criteria:
| NONE of the following DTCs must be detected: |
Fault criteria:
| Control module reads 0 rpm from crankshaft position sensor but reads more than 25 (x2) rpm from pump camshaft sensor. |
System reaction to a fault:
| Limp Home, fuel limitation. |
| The control module uses pump rpm x2 as a substitute value. |
| Output to the A/C relay is switched off. |
| EGR turned off in case of fault. |
Checking the wiring harness
| • | Faults in the control module female connector can be the cause of the DTC. Check the connector with respect to oxidation, depressed pins and pin clamping force. |
| • | Jiggle the wiring harness at several points to detect intermittent breaks or short circuits. Check also the connector for oxidation or loose pins. |
