On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Continuous

Enable criteria:

Engine running.

Fault criteria:

Combustion detected from several cylinders simultaneously. The camshaft position could not be synchronized with the crankshaft position. The engine firing order could not be established.

Dependent:

No fault in the Combustion Detection Module, P1315.

System reaction to a fault:

None

OK report:

When ignition and fuel injection are synchronised.

Fault handling:

Type III

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:

Soot deposits on the spark plugs and electrical faults.

Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:

Test value:

•	Combustion Signal cyl 1+3

•	Combustion Signal cyl 2+4

•	Camshaft Position Syncronized
